Diesel Engines
Mitsubishi
offers a full line up of engines that comply with environmental
regulations and IMO / CCR emission standards, as certified by Lloyds
Register of Shipping and Germanischer Lloyd.
An advanced cooling system has
reduced the thermal load of the engine allowing for many hours of
continuous use.
A newly developed oil control
system assures smooth oil flow.
The durability of every engine
part has been increased significantly allowing safe use even in the
harshest conditions.
The auxiliary equipment
employs turbochargers, injection pumps and water pumps that have a
fully integrated lubricating oil system with change over lubricating
oil filters. Individual cylinder heads, large side inspection covers
and maintenance on one side of the engine (SR in-line engines) provide
an easy access to main parts. An international service network, in more
than 20 countries, backs up the product.
They have a generous design
margin to
drive alternators at 1,200 1,500 or 1,800 rpm continuously. The
frequency stability is assured by a hydraulic or electronic governor in
order to meet international standards.
The AC alternator is self
exciting, self
regulating drip proof and brushless. Radio interferance suppession is
in line with VDE, class N
Mitsubishi's latest
technologies, such as
the high performance turbocharger and the direct fuel injection system,
have improved fuel efficiency dramatically.
All Mitsubishi engines offer
exceptional high power and top performance over all speed ranges

|
Marine
Propulsion use Light duty
This rating is intended for use in variable load applications where the
average load does not exceed the heavy duty rating. Full throttle
operation does not exceed 1 hour out of 6 hours.
Marine
Propulsion use Medium duty
This rating is intended for use in applications where the average load
does not exceed the heavy duty rating. Full throttle operation does not
exceed 8 hours in any 24 hours period.
Marine
Propulsion use Heavy duty
This rating is the 24 hours continuous rating and is intended for use
in applications requiring uninterrupted service.
Marine
Generator use
This rating is applicable for supplying electric power continuously,
average load less than 80%, 10% overload is permissible for one hour
out of 12 hours.
Marine
general power use, intermittent
Intermittent output for general power use, 10% overload available for
maximum 1 hour per 12 hours
Marine
general power use, continuous
Continuous output for general power use. At 1200 rpm, 1500 rpm and 1800
rpm also for generator drive, no overload.
